To promote... Theoretically, it is to implement a project, the creation of something, to provoke its development or even its success... This is too often confused with the practice of media one-upmanship aiming to stand out from the crowd, to break through, to emerge from the mass in order to supposedly "rise" or to reach a "higher" level... At least, for those who hope so, to move from the shadows into the light! Beware of dazzle, mirages and other illusions! In short, promoting one's work does not mean putting oneself forward or on stage, building a "falsified" version of oneself or of one's work (however modest it may be), or even seeking recognition for some, success for others... Who more at what "price?" For rare are those who decide not to submit to the dominant model: to pay to exist, to disburse to expose themselves and to let themselves be dragged into the waltz of the by-products of digital platforms and social networks governed by the greed of the laws of a market dominated by a privileged minority... Concerning the NéMéSiS-303 project, neither the "submission" option nor that of the "compromise" are on the program! The goal is the independence and autonomy of a "naive" craft industry as an alternative to the industrialization of the sector! A guiding line, a philosophy, a choice. Nothing less, nothing more! The idea being that the craftsman, when he is able to extract himself from the various forms of enslavement, grants himself the freedom to act at his own pace, according to his own criteria, bearing the constraints that he accepts to amortize. Thus, if he manages to understand the codes in force and to make an appropriate use of them without falling into narcissism, the craftsman (whatever the volume of his audience or his "supporters") enters in his own way into a process of development of his work and his future, whatever its scope... The objective is simple: To concentrate forces, energies and investments in the creative process, experience and learning, preferring the humbly "artistic" approach to merchandising or the cult of the ego... Therefore, if word of mouth does not necessarily generate the snowball effect so much hoped for by some, it remains the simplest way to extend the circle of contacts who, potentially, will themselves relay the information by envy, by passion, by consideration...
The strategy is worth what it is worth! Personally, it's enough to make me happy!
