COLOR CODES

Everything is always a question of sensitivity... (LOL)

To define a style, a genre of music, to agree on what it determines, in short to find a consensus is sometimes difficult… Even more so in electronic music with regard to the numerous declensions which result from it since nearly 50 years!

Everyone has his own perception, his own opinion, his own preferences, his own affinities, his own sensibility… There is something for everyone, there is something for every taste! (LOL) As long as it is never a source of conflicts… Also, to the question of the style (https://www.nms303.com/post/to-each-is-own-no-need-for-a-label), I propose a reading based on a simple analogy between the "chromatic" field, that of the colors, visual thus, and the "sound" or "auditory" field to distinguish the various variations of genres or styles, thus of "tonalities" of the electronic sonorities of my experimentation outside the conventional circuits… (LOL) This "classification" according to "color codes" is personal, thus completely subjective! (LOL) Let's try to see it more clearly!

• Color code RED (orange > purple…)

For the "vivacity", the passion, the emotions, the pulsation, the heart, the "blood" that flows in our veins! (LOL) In short, this "color" code (chromatic field gathering the bright colors located on the chromatic circle between ORANGE and PURPLE) forms one of the contrasts which, with that between BLUE and YELLOW and that between BLACK and WHITE, direct the visual perception…

From COLOR to SOUND... Red as a contrast in order to orient the auditory/acoustic perception… Red to illustrate a tonality, a "sound tint" which fascinates me, holds me dear and circumscribes my musical influences…

Blue for a notion, certainly, all relative of "calm", of plenitude, even of "soothing panorama…" (LOL) The blue is a chromatic field gathering the tints reminding those of the sky or the sea by clear weather… From the chromatic field to the acoustic field, there is only one step… (LOL) Well let us rather say of the "blue" as an intermediary to determine less raw, less "rough" sonorities...

We could go on like this to decline, reflect, conceptualize and debate on the colors and correspondences ("subjective") associated with our notions of "style", with "nuances of genres…" However, in the end, everything is a matter of appreciation, sensitivity, affinity, taste… And you know the famous saying: "tastes and colors…" (LOL)

At least, these distinctions can contribute to make an idea… and still… (LOL) on the numerous and varied tracks released since 1 year & a half under the NéMéSiS-303 project.
