2022 to make the most of the two years spent picking up where I left off at the end of the 90s. So this is what this seventh phase of a process started a good 30 years ago, put in hibernation for almost 25 years and resurrected in early 2020 shortly before the Covid pandemic. In short! Beyond the myths, symbols, beliefs and superstitions, this number seven only reflects the stages of a journey started by passion without any other pretention than to concretize a musical project left in suspense before the technological advances now within reach of a good number of "wallets"! In short, at the beginning of a modest but authentic "artistic" approach, in the sense of a creative process of development and permanent questioning, the idea of starting again in a certain way "all from scratch" was naturally imposed in order not to fall into the facility, if not the passivity, of the software tools and the algorithms at the same time engines and "sterilizers" of the current electronic musical innovation. Also, well aware that my lack of legitimacy, my experience, my gaps and my approximations would not play in my favor, I nevertheless launched into a process of learning and discovering both the production tools and the sounds to which I have been sensitive since my "childhood!” (LOL) Moreover, starting from a postulate aiming at circumscribing in the broad outlines the method and the means at disposal, the project of musical production is articulated around an independent step not aiming at the profitability, even if this one remains an inescapable parameter of its viability under this format in free electron mode. Also, since the very first realizations in May 2020, after having proceeded by stages by experimenting at the same time as by diffusing my electronic productions by the conventional channels, a certain form of "musical" identity drew itself little by little. My "trademark" residing in my "radical" choice to function in "autarky" in an autonomous way and at a lower cost, thus not to call upon other technologies or materials than those at my disposal. So also without spending and injecting money in the "perverse" system of a music industry (and digital platforms...) that makes you hope for profit, recognition or even fame! Motives that are not very "glorious" (in my eyes) nor consistent with a supposedly "artistic" approach! Making music and money are not incompatible! But the question always remains the same: "how do we use the money and what is it used for? Vast debate! Philosophical and ideological certainly! However, it is at this level that the beginnings of an approach which wants to be primarily "artistic" are located! That it is about writing, painting, sculpture, music or other forms of expressions! It is moreover in this sense that I pose the debate on the "change of paradigm" that those who claim to be "underground" must perhaps consider again! Because to show oneself "outside the system" is not only a "childish rebellion" which is based on principles and values that it would not even question. Sometimes by simple unconsciousness, but also by "denial" of the socio-economic realities and of human psychology... In short! My speech and my frankness will certainly not suit everyone! It is quite normal! Freedom and diversity of opinion are also part of my "claims.” At the same time, I do not militate more than I take a position. Everyone does what they want, as they feel like it, and obviously not everyone has to do the same! Maybe that's the problem! Many do or try to do the same! As far as "techno" music is concerned, it has even become a dominant motif as the icons of the movement have traced the furrow of a current that tends to diversify as much as it reproduces itself, at the risk that the "tonal consanguinity" becomes a source of impoverishment of the avant-garde lineage! (LOL) It is in this sense that I also ask the question: "where did the heirs of an electronic musical current on the margin of the current societal revolutions go?" Because if the origins, the roots and the pioneers of the techno movement will have widened the horizons and participated in their ways in the evolution of the world and the mentalities, it will be necessary then that those and those which are the contemporary actors invest themselves otherwise than in the "spangles", the setting in scene of their "careers" or the visibility of their last productions promoted by fattening the numerous intermediaries of the digitized musical diffusion!



So that's it! I will stop here for today! You may or may not have appreciated my statement, which is neither a "rant", nor the result of a "frustrated or vindictive observation", but a simple portrait of the world and the society in which we live! Also, like ecology, rather than wanting to change the world, to each his role, to each his impact, to each his part! This is the famous story of the "hummingbird" who, in order to extinguish a gigantic fire, sprinkles it with the very small amount of water contained in its beak! Not much chance of putting it out! But at least he does his part! My choice is simple and commits only me! To hell with the "standards", do otherwise to keep the freedom to manage the unavoidable constraints as well as the parameters and factors that feed the artistic path of a modest composer of technoid electronic sequences in his spare time... Nothing less, nothing more!
